South Australia's local senior and junior sides are used to being placed at the bottom of BASA's to-do list. Once the sixers, rental of 'the Dome' and a plethora of other costs are paid, local teams get the change at the bottom of the tin.

With last season's crowds struggling to reach 3500 seats (compared to sellout crowds of recent seasons) there is even less money in the BASA bank. This means local teams miss out on funding that could go to new rings, floorboards, changerooms, etc.

Players in junior and senior teams are constantly furious at the annual failure of BASA to produce a fixture for the season. Player's schedules are dictated on a week-to-week basis as the internet is the only source to find out game times. Often, as with this season, BASA send out season fixtures with only a few weeks left in the season.

The ABA reserves competition (the second highest comp in the state) is still yet to receive a season program and it is well over half way into the season.
